Our Commitment
Otto Nels Group is committed to preventing the accidental loss of any its resources, including sub-contractors and other companies’ physical assets.
In fulfilling this commitment to protect both people and property, management will provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirements, and will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in property damage, accidents or personal injury/illness.
All employees/sub-contractors will be equally responsible for minimizing accidents within our facilities. Safe work practices and procedures will be clearly defined in Otto Nels Group Safety Manual for all employees/sub-contractors to follow.
Accidental loss can be controlled through good management in combination with active involvement. Safety is the direct responsibility of all managers, supervisors and employees.
All management activities will comply with company safety requirements as they relate to the planning, operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment. All employees/sub-contractors will perform their jobs properly in accordance with established procedures and safe work practices.
As part of the business community, we at Otto Nels Group have a responsibility to protect all workers engaged in our activities from personal injury and health hazards. To meet this responsibility the following guiding principles shall be maintained Responsibility, Priority and Improvement.
Responsibility
Otto Nels Group is responsible for coordination and general supervision of its activities at the workplace, including activities carried out as prime contractor and by Otto Nels Group consultants. Field personnel must also follow all safety policies set for the site on which they are working.
Priority
Activities will be conducted on the basis that safety of all personnel is of vital importance, whether those personnel are employed by Otto Nels Group or a prime contractor.
Improvement
Otto Nels Group, in cooperation with others within the industry, will promote methods and practices that have potential for improving safety performance for the industry.
